The Fool is, appropriately, the child of the Major Arcana. Before we are told how to think, how to speak, and how to act, in other words how we should be, we are free. Free to be curious, courageous, and in awe of all that’s around us. That is the energy of The Fool. When this card appears, you jump straight in, wide eyed and excited, not knowing what will happen, but believing it will be good. The part of this card that can be that hardest to harness is the optimism. Have you ever noticed how easy it is to slide down a negative spiral but thinking positively feels like the most arduous climb? Scientists have theorized that the human brain holds on to negativity more easily because of our survival instincts. All i know is surviving is not the same as living. They require different things from you. To survive, you just have to keep breathing. To live, you have to believe good things will come to you. More importantly, you have to believe you deserve it.
That’s not to say you suddenly have become repercussion proof, which the reverse of this card shows. Actions have consequences. I’m probably thinking this because Game of Thrones just ended, but actions can have far reaching and long lasting consequences. Just as you are effected by the actions of others, your actions can effect others. You don’t exist in a vacuum. Find the balance between jumping in headfirst without blinding yourself completely.
Anyways, thanks for reading and let me know what you think in the comments. Bye!
