Up is down and down is up with the Four of Cups. Not really, but I'm sure at this point it seems that any upright card that is pulled is benefic and any reversed card that is pulled is malefic; the opposite is true for the Four of Cups. You are apathetic to all that is good in your life, all your passions, all the people who love you. It doesn't seem like enough. And, while I think there are people in this world who will genuinely never be pleased and never find fault with themselves, I think more often than not this particular attitude stems from our unhappiness with ourselves; it's just human nature to transfer that unhappiness to someone or something else. Placing blame and having excuses, hiding as it were, requires so much less than self-awareness. Make peace with yourself, find something you love and put your energy into it, and always appreciate what you have.
Reversed, you've done the work the upright Four of Cups requires and you've realized what a waste of your life it is to hate yourself and others. You've loosened the knots of self-imposed and societally imposed rules and restrictions, and instead, have chosen to live in a way that makes you happy. It's a kind of fulfillment I think we're all searching for, as well as the bravery to do it.
Anyways, thanks for reading and let me know what you think in the comments. Bye!
